The ATRA website contains information about your organisation and also includes a full member listing to assist consumers to find you. As well, other members can locate you when they need help with out of town warranty issues. This useful tool is also the gateway to the ATRA-USA website.

ATRA-USA Website:

Included in your ATRA membership is full access to the ATRA-USA website. This technical database has a huge archival library which contains articles, technical service bulletins and fixes on just about every transmission ever made.

Facebook:

In conjunction with our ATRA website, the ATRA Facebook page keeps you up to date instantly with happenings, news, personalities and tech snippets. Here you can comment on events or post interesting jobs you have in your shop.

ATRA Division Newsletter:

The ATRA Division Newsletter is a quarterly publication that is produced in house. Focusing on local transmissions you will find useful articles, often from fellow members, to help you fix the transmissions in your shop. Interesting articles from suppliers and sponsors also included.

GEARS Magazine:

Gears magazine from ATRA-USA is delivered direct to your workshop five times a year. This publication is a constant source of reference material pertaining to our industry direct from the USA, and allows us to see what is trending beyond our shores.

There are always several in depth articles written by leading authorities on automatic transmissions. In addition you will find tips on sales techniques and other business topics dedicated to the automatic transmission industry. A glossy magazine full of clear and concise photos and diagrams. Gears by itself is worth the value of membership.

IAME Journal & Membership:

The IAME Journal, “The Automotive Engineer”, is delivered to you six times a year. The Journal, is a well respected trade journal, designed to keep you abreast of technical and industrial information. Included in your ATRA Membership fee is Corporate membership to the IAME. (Personal Membership is graded by Examination).

All members of the IAME receive the Journal and it is the key communication tool for new products, services and benefits that come with being a member of the organisation. It also lists dates for trade nights, technical seminars training courses, in your state, to which you are welcome to attend.

Also included in your ATRA Membership fee is Corporate membership to the IAME. (Personal Membership will be graded by Examination).

ATRA Division Newsletter:

The ATRA Division Newsletter is a quarterly publication that is produced in house. Focusing on local transmissions you will find useful articles, often from fellow members, to help you fix the transmissions in your shop. Interesting articles from suppliers and sponsors also included.

Direct Debit Payments:

ATRA Members have the ability to make payments for their membership and also the ATRA Seminar via direct debit.

This will enable you to budget fees so you will not have to make a lump sum and spread payments out throughout the year. Why pay now when you can spread the payments over the year.

Further, you can combine your ATRA Seminar ticket with your yearly membership.

Capricorn Payments:

Another great method of payment which has been extended to ATRA Members is the ability to pay their fees for both the Membership and Seminar by Capricorn.

Levels of ATRA Membership:

Rebuilder: A specialist business whose dominant activity is the servicing, repair and overhaul of automatic transmissions for motor vehicles.

Supplier: A specialist supplier of parts or services to the automatic transmission specialist industry.

Subscriber: Individuals or organisations who wish to receive the ATRA Division newsletter and are not eligible for membership either as a Rebuilder or Supplier.

Specialist: Individuals or Technicians currently working within the industry who may not yet be eligible as a Rebuilder Member.

Network:

Being part of ATRA you will associate with other shop owners, specialists and rebuilders.

Meeting with like minded people at trade and social events in the course of your membership, you will build a network of knowledgeable and dedicated professionals who you can rely on for support and assistance as you pursue your ambitions in the automatic transmission industry.

Technical Seminar:

The highlight of the ATRA year. Australia’s and New Zealand’s Premier Automatic Transmission Event. Held annually, the ATRA Seminar will ensure you stay ahead of this industry’s constantly changing technology and, ahead of your competition.

ATRA works hard to deliver the world’s best transmission experts, who will present session after session of tech, unfolding years of experience and a wealth of knowledge. Held over a weekend in August at venues that compliment this prime event, ATRA members also enjoy discounted room rates as well as social and networking opportunities. In conjunction, every second year, an Exhibition is produced by transmission industry suppliers of the latest parts, tools and equipment.

Why choose an ATRA Member?

Started in Sydney in the early 1980’s ATRA has grown into a member network of independent automatic transmission professionals that cover every state in Australia and both islands of New Zealand. Its members are like minded, dedicated and enthusiastic automatic transmission experts. Each ATRA member workshop is independently owned and constantly stays abreast of technological changes and advances in automotive science by attending seminars, trade nights and training forums.
